Position: Clinical Coaching Tutor

Location: Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba

Hours of Work: Wednesdays; 1:00pm to 5:00pm (sessions are 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm)

Position Information:
  • This position undertakes the role of Clinical Coaching Tutor, teaching basic history-taking and examination skills to Year 1 MBBS students
  • This teaching is done in a small group of 5 students in weekly two-hour tutorials over 33 weeks of the year, commencing in the week of 30th January
  • A handbook is provided to guide tutors on the detail required and the tutorials will be conducted in teaching space at PA Hospital
  • Students learn the skills and then practice on each other under the guidance of their Clinical Tutor; to prepare them for exposure to hospital patients in Year 2
  • There  are current vacancies for tutors for two groups. One tutor may prefer to take both groups. The remuneration is $100/hour of teaching time
  • Semester 1 - Monday 30th January to Saturday 2nd June (Mid-semester break - Easter Friday 6th April to Sunday 15th April)
  • Break (no teaching) - Saturday 2nd June to Sunday 1st July
  • Semester 2 - Monday 2nd July to Friday 5th October
