Access To Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS)
Overview
Accoras contracts the services of appropriate qualified allied health professionals to provide sessions under the Access To Allied Psychological Services (ATAPS) program. ATAPS services are provided in consulting rooms within general practices within the local community.
What is ATAPS?
- Referral for 6 x 1 hour sessions with Psychologist/Allied Health Professional.
- Six more sessions available after review and new outcomes measure from GP (K10, or Edinburgh Depression Scale for Perinatal Depression).
- Not an urgent or crisis service
- For clients with mild to moderate mental health symptoms
- No cost to client
Elibility Criteria and Target Groups
- Clients not in crisis
- Low income earners (Health Care card, unemployed)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse
- Women with Ante or Postnatal (Perinatal) Depression
- People under the age of 25 (including children and adolescents)
How to Access ATAPS
Referrals can only be made by a General Practitioner practicing within the relevant geographical region. Fill in the referral forms, and fax them, along with the patient's Mental Health Treatment Plan, to our confidential fax line - 3272 7595.
